Big Announcement! (or, like, half of an announcement)

There was a big announcement on The Chris Gethard Show about our upcoming move to basic cable! Details about the network weren’t revealed, but Chris was able to share the following:

“We plan on bringing you the same balls out idiotic comedy with real honesty and emo heart and dedication to its fans we’ve always brought, just now we can do it with a set that doesn’t have to fit in the trunk of my car and also I assume the lights won’t turn off halfway through an episode and we won’t have to deal with a situation where we show up and someone has stolen all the microphones. It’s going to be so rad.”

In even bigger news, it was announced that this pug is an official cast member of TCGS (this superstar will appear exclusively via Skype)

Indie legends Sleater-Kinney make their only talk show appearance on TCGS!

The internet practically caught on fire last week when punk-indie darlings Sleater-Kinney announced that they would make their first appearance together in a decade on our dysfunctional little public access show. Carrie, Corin, and Janet were so fun to have on the show…. down-to-earth, and up for anything! Watch it here

Best FEST

The Unlovables’ set down at the FEST 13 was just about the greatest thing ever. A giant singalong with hundreds of old and new friends. Biggest thanks to the organizers and everyone who came out to sing and dance with us. #PUNKSNOTDEAD

This week yeah dude

Our pal Brooks Wheelan (SNL) will join us for our serial killer-themed Halloween show tonight on “The Chris Gethard Show”. And The Unlovables and I head down to Gainesville, FL at the end of the week, where we’ll be performing at “Fest” — the 13th annual No Idea Records festival. Mostly we just wanna see punk legends the Descendents and Lifetime who are headlining the festival đŸ˜‰

BK punk show

The Unlovables have added a show in Brooklyn to warm-up for our show down at FEST 13 in Florida. We’re totally psyched to be playing with Rational Anthem (FL) and Top Bunk (Grath and Ace from Steinways/House Boat). We haven’t played NYC in well over a year, so come on out!

Plow-2

Mike Birbiglia came by for a chat… and juggling.

This week’s episode of The Chris Gethard Show featured special guest comedian & storyteller, Mike Birbiglia (Sleepwalk With Me, This American Life), as well as world-renowned juggler, Marcus Monroe. If you haven’t caught Mike on his 100 city tour of “Thank God For Jokes”, you should get on that, cuz it’s super hilarious.

Gethard Show returns to public access

After a month hiatus, TCGS returned for what we’re calling Season 2 (apparently, Season 1 was 130 episodes long). Tune in to see the reboot, as we break this sh*t down to build it back up again.
